The
10.0 Booster Club
is an organized group of enthusiasts supporting the University of Minnesota
Women’s Gymnastics program. Through membership in this group, you will become a
vital part of the Women’s Gymnastics Program and participate in the
excitement that surrounds collegiate athletics.
The mission of the 10.0 Booster Club is simple:
The mission is accomplished through a number of objectives:
-
Foremost and most
importantly,
to create a positive student-athlete
experience, including:
-
Show
of fan support (Welcome Back dinner for team and
families, orientation of new gymnastics families to the 10.0
Booster Club, post-meet receptions, Awards Banquet, and
participation/recognition awards throughout the year [within the
NCAA guidelines]).
-
Attendance
at simulations, intra-squad, home meets, and away meet trips.
-
Demonstration of school spirit with
maroon-and-gold clothing / logowear sales of University of
Minnesota Women’s Gymnastics apparel and appropriate behavior at
all meets… especially cheering
on the Golden Gopher Gymnastics team!
-
Positive one-on-one interactions
with each program member (student-athletes, student managers,
coaches, and all Athletics professional staff) at each and every
opportunity.
- To
create a positive membership experience at every 10.0 Booster Club
event, including exclusive opportunities for members to interact
with the Women’s Gymnastics program throughout the year (inclusive
of the events listed above).
-
To
develop an even larger network of individual
gymnastics fans and supporters that are
supportive and responsive to the goals
of enhancing the student-athlete experience at the University of
Minnesota.
- To
build a long-term relationship between a
group of enthusiasts and the
University of Minnesota Women’s Gymnastics program – an
“inner-circle” of support.
As a
member of the 10.0 Club, you are invited to attend the post-meet reception in the Pavilion
Club Room. You will have the opportunity to meet the gymnasts and the coaches
and get to know them on a more personal level. At all receptions Coach Jim
Stephenson will analyze the meets and give you a scouting report on the upcoming
opponents. You will begin to feel like a real member of the team!
We have an
enthusiastic base of support but we would like to develop an even larger network
of individuals who are supportive and responsive to the goals of our program.
The University of Minnesota 10.0 Booster Club is a non-profit
corporation in Minnesota formed in 2001. All membership donations
and charitable contributions are tax deductible.
